Susan Willey McKay uses her committed involvement with the Unitarian Universalist Society of Bangor as a springboard to serve the community at large. Rev. Beck Gunn says that Sue "is the very first person to be called upon, to arrive, and to act."
Sue served as chairperson for the 2009 Charlie Howard 25th Memorial, a weeklong event celebrating his life, and mourning his tragic hate crime death. Big Brothers Big Sisters, Salvation Army, Girl Scouts of Maine, and Rape Response Services have all benefitted from Sue's caring service. In addition, she has held many executive positions in professional associations, on a volunteer basis, germane to her leadership in the insurance industry.
