Here's a look back on the remarkable poet Edna St. Vincent Millay. Born in Rockland, she grew up in Camden. Her parents divorced and her mother encouraged her to be a free spirit. She was not appreciated in the quiet conservative town. However, she struck it big with the publication of her poem "Renascence." She was given a scholarship to Vassar. Upon graduation she went off to Greenwich Village. She achieved great acclaim. However, her personal life was unconventional and challenged. Her alcoholism and drug use increased. Her later work was not appreciated and she died in a mysterious fall at the relatively young age of 58.
