(NEWS CENTER)-- When Mike Bailey resigned as the head football coach at Portland high school after 26 years at the helm, he left behind some mighty big shoes to fill. Now, the Bulldogs have a new leader and one who brings with him an impressive track record.
NEWS CENTER has confirmed that Jim Hartman will take over the Portland football program after spending the past 5 years at Yarmouth. Hartman is the only head coach the Clippers have had and led the class 'C' team to back to back undefeated seasons and back to back state titles.
Hartman takes over a Portland high school team that has had back to back 2-6 seasons and has not appeared in the class 'A' state title game since 2002.
